Employee Resource Groups are intended to create community, provide resources, increase social networks, and encourage a sense of belonging at a workplace. They鈥檙e a good place to , someone to have a coffee or a beer with, or a colleague to collaborate with.
All of these groups operate differently: some meet regularly and do things together; others are more loosely connected community who gather only for certain events; still others rarely meet but maintain relevant resources. It really depends on the group, and your participation is entirely voluntary and based on your own needs and availability.
